3X - Team 3X4U (namely Marc ON4AMX, Filip ON4FF, Patrick ON4HIL, Luc
ON4IA, Pascal ON5RA, Karel ON5TN, Marc ON6CC, Wim ON6DX, Franky
ON7RU, and Ronald PA3EWP) will be active from Lac de Koba, Guinea
on 11-23 November. They will operate CW, SSB, FT8 and RTTY on 160-6
metres, with five stations and a focus on SSB and CW. QSL via

4J - Alexander, 4J3DJ is active as 4JF1EU until 26 September. QSL via
Club Log's OQRS. The special callsign is for the Formula 1 Grand
Prix of Azerbaijan that will take place in the capital city of
Baku.
6O - Pertti, OG2M will be working at the Somali European Hospital in
Garowe, Somalia on 5-25 October. In his spare time he plans to
operate mainly SSB and CW as 6O2M (requested callsign) on 40-10
metres. QSL via LoTW.
9H - Members of the Calabria DX Team (namely I8YGZ, IK8YFU, IU8GUK, and
IU8HEP) will be active as 9H6C from Malta (EU-023) on 10-12 Octo-
ber. They will operate CW, SSB, and FT8/FT4 on 80-10 metres. QSL
via LoTW, or direct to IU8HEP.
C2 - C21DA is the callsign that has been used on the amateur radio bands
from Naoero (Nauru) since 23 September. The station operates only
SSB, typically on 10 and 20 metres. Other bands may include 80, 40,
17, 15 and 12 metres. Activity will continue until 5 October. QSL
direct to VK4MAP.
C5 - Lui YT3PL (YU5R), Luc F5RAV (C5C) and Darko E70A will be active on
various bands and modes as C5R from the Gambia between 1 October
and 4 November, including an entry in the CQ WW DX SSB Contest. QSL
C5R direct to YT3PL and logsearch on Club Log. They are carrying on
a humanitarian project to raise funds for the construction of new
classrooms for children aged between 3 and 5:

EA - The special callsigns AO5CV, AM5CV and AN5CV will be active on 5-11
October to celebrate the Day of the Valencian Community. A commemo-
rative award and eQSLs will be available at https://hamaward.cloud.
G - GB80CV is the special callsign for members of the Cray Valley Radio
Society to celebrate their club's 80th anniversary on 1-28 October.

H4 - Bernhard, DL2GAC will be active again as H44MS from the Solomon Is-
lands between 3 October and 20 November, and again between 5 Febru-
ary and 4 May 2027. Usually he is QRV from Malaita Island (OC-047)
on a daily basis, with activity on 80-6 metres SSB and FT8. QSL via
home call, direct or bureau; QSOs will be uploaded to LoTW and Club
Log.
HR - Gerard, F2JD will be active again as HR5/F2JD from Copan, Honduras
from 23 November to 15 March 2027. He will operate CW, SSB, FT8,

ON - The Belgian Air Force Amateur Radio Association (BAFARA) will be
active as OR80AF on 1-30 October to celebrate the 80th anniversary
of the Belgian Air Force. Look for activity on the HF bands using
CW, SSB, and digital modes. Complete information, including eQSLs

OX - Bo, OZ1DJJ is active again as OX3LX from Aasiaat Island (NA-134)
until 4 October. As usual, he is QRV in his spare time. QSL via
Club Log's OQRS, LoTW, or via OZ0J.
S9 - Team S9R (namely CT1BOL, CT1BZG, CT2GFW, CT3MD, D2ACE, D2IM, and
EC7R) will be active from Tamarindos, Sao Tome (AF-023) on 17-31
October. They will operate CW, SSB, RTTY and FT8 (MSHV) on 160-6
Metres with three stations. They also plan to be active via the

V6 - Takeo, JR1GSE will be active holiday style as V61GSE from Weno Is-
land, Chuuk (OC-011), Micronesia on 1-7 October. He will operate
FT8, SSB and CW on 80-6 metres. QSL via LoTW, Club Log's OQRS, eQSL
or direct to JR1GSE.
W - Ricky K4JTT, Ian NV4C, and Tim WK4U will be active as N4N from
Sapelo Island (NA-058) on 8-11 October. They plan to operate SSB,
CW, FT8, and FT4 on 80, 40, 20, 15, and 10 metres. QSOs will be up-
loaded to LoTW, Club Log, QRZ, and wwff.co; paper QSL cards will
not be available.
YJ - Aki, JK1JXZ will be active again as YJ1JXZ from Port Vila (OC-035),
Vanuatu on 11-16 October. He will be QRV on 80-6 metres, after 17
local time during the weekdays and all day during the weekend. QSL
via LoTW.
ZC4 - Olafur, TF1OL has been active as 5B/TF1OL from Larnaca, Cyprus
since 24 September, and expects to remain there until 27 September.
He will then move to the Limassol area within the UK Sovereign Bri-
tish Areas on Cyprus. He will ty and be QRV as ZC4OL for about four
days, "although the operating QTH may be challenging and will be

3Y0L: PETER I 2027 ---> The Peter I Island DXpedition team signed contracts
to return to the island in January 2027. Peter I has been silent since 2006
(3Y0X), and is currently ranked #7 on Club Log's Most Wanted DXCC list.
The expedition (11 radio operators, 4 support staff, plus two helicopters)
will depart from Chile aboard the MV "DAP Mares" on 22 January. Plans are to
stay 3 weeks around the island, with 2 weeks of onshore operation.
3Y0L will install six radio stations with amplifiers, and a combination of
4-5 element yagis for the higher bands, and single verticals for the low
bands. The expedition container will be shipped from Texas to Chile in two
weeks' time.
This adventure will not be possible without the support from the DX communi-

7Q5C ---> Chris, ZS6RI rotates between South Africa and northern Malawi
every few weeks. When in Malawi he is active as 7Q5C in his spare time, typ-
ically during his early morning, late afternoon, or evening hours. He oper-
ates mainly CW across the 40-10 meter bands. QSL via LoTW and QRZ Logbook,
and logsearch on Club Log; paper cards will not be available.
OCEANIA DX CONTEST ---> The 82nd edition of the Oceania DX Contest will take
place on 3-4 October (SSB) and 10-11 October (CW). Both events will start at
06.00 UTC on Saturday, and end at 06:00 UTC on Sunday. Complete details can

SAN AMBROSIO PROJECT ---> Below is a summary of Press Release #4, issued by
Felipe, XQ7IR on 20 September (https://www.sanambrosio-project.com), updat-
ing on recent progress toward his planned DXpedition to San Ambrosio Island
(CE0X).
* PERMIT STATUS
Three main permits/authorizations are needed to operate from San Ambrosio.
Two have already been secured, and the third is expected in the coming
months.
* AMATEUR RADIO LICENSE
The license and callsign will be requested from SUBTEL (Chile's telecommuni-
cations authority) a few weeks prior to departure once all permits are fi-
nalized.
* TRAVEL
It will be a 3-day voyage aboard a fishing vessel departing from Robinson
Crusoe Island. The transportation contract is signed, with 50% paid.
* DATES
The DXpedition is expected to take place sometime between January and April
2027. Operations are planned to last 30-45 days, depending on sea and weath-
er conditions.
* PROJECT OVERVIEW
Due to budget and logistical constraints, this will be a solo on-site DXpe-
dition by Felipe. On-site operations will run out of a tent erected next to
an existing lobster fishermen's shelter on the island. Felipe will be com-
plemented by a global team of remote operators coordinated by PY7RP, with a
collective goal of reaching 150,000 QSOs.
Key equipment includes two transceivers, two linear amplifiers (800 W and
500 W), multiple antennas, and two generators; Felipe is still seeking a
third transceiver for digital modes and high-power band-pass filters.
* BUDGET & FUNDING
The total estimated budget is approximately USD 58,000, which is currently
self-funded by Felipe alongside about 12% covered by personal donations.
Formal grant requests to DX foundations and clubs will be submitted once all
permits and official license are fully granted and published.
VISALIA 2027 ---> The 77th International DX Convention, hosted by the North-
ern California DX Club, will be held at the Wyndham Hotel in Visalia, Cali-
fornia on 12-14 March 2027. Hotel reservations with special convention rate

WRTC 2022 RESCORING ---> Tine Brajnik (S50A), Chairman of the WRTC Sanction-
ing Committee, has announced that the results for the World Radiosport Team
Championship 2022 (held in Italy in July 2023) have been rescored. Two teams
have been disqualified and changes have been made to the order-of-finish.
Following publication of the WRTC 2026 Judging Committee report on 1 Septem-
ber 2026 [425DXN #1844], the WRTC 2022 Organising Committee referred the
2023 results to the WRTC Sanctioning Committee (SC). The SC formed a working
Group to examine the 2023 logs using the methods described in the 2026 re-
port. The SC has accepted the working group's findings, and has decided to
rescore the results - which replace those announced in July 2023 - and dis-
qualify two teams.
