SEANET CONTEST ---> This year's SEANET Contest will be held on 12-13 Septem-
ber (24 hours). In a major move to encourage next-generation participation,
the organizers have announced that the highest-performing participants in
the newly established Youth Category (ages 19-25) will not only receive spe-
cial equipment prizes, but will also be considered for a sponsored position
in the international team for the VU4 DXpedition in December 2026:

TOKELAU 2026 ---> Members of the Tokelau DXpedition team are assembling sta-
tions and preparing them for shipment. Team transportation to and from Apia
(Samoa) to Tokelau has been arranged by the government's transport office. A
customs broker in Apia will receive the equipment shipment and forward to
Tokelau on a cargo ferry. Team members will meet in Apia and depart on 17
November for the one-day voyage to Fakaofo Atoll [425DXN 1839].
The year 2026 marks the 100th anniversary of the New Zealand/Tokelau rela-
tionship. To commemorate this milestone the callsign ZK3ZL was requested.
A humanitarian project designed to improve computer knowledge will be pre-
sented to the Council of Elders. Twenty Lenovo laptops configured with
Windows 11 and Microsoft Office 2021 are the cornerstone of the project. The
objective is to create a computer lab for the locals and help the Council
better manage their day-to-day activities and processes. The team will be
conducting basic computer instruction and training classes while on the
island. The cost of the computer lab was borne by the team. They also plan
to encourage several of the locals to get involved with amateur radio.
Donations to help cover shipping and the humanitarian project are being
accepted at https://tok-dx.com/. [TNX K5GS]

VK9XY ---> The Northern California DX Foundation has announced a grant

VP0SG 2027 ---> The 2027 South Georgia DXpedition has officially secured its
Regulated Activity Permit (RAP) from the Government of South Georgia & the
South Sandwich Islands after more than 18 months of careful preparation and
dialogue. Now authorized to operate from Husvik in March 2027, the team has
closely collaborated with the Government to develop an expedition that
minimises its environmental footprint while still allowing meaningful
amateur radio activity.
The VP0SG team is committed to making the most of this opportunity, maxi-
mizing the number of unique contacts, providing strong CW, SSB and FT8 cov-
erage, giving small and modest stations a genuine opportunity to work South
Georgia. Following the securement of the expediton vessel MV "Meredian",
organizers are calling on the global DX community to support substantial
upfront logistical and equipment costs to make the activation a reality. See
