4X - Four lighthouse operations are expected to take place from Israel
on 15-16 August: 4X02LH (Stella Maris), 4X03LH (Ashdod), 4X04LH
(Akko), and 4X05LH (Tel Aviv). QSLs via 4X6ZM.
A5 - Feng, BA7LVG and Taka, JK2XXK will be active as A50QO from Thimphu,
Bhutan on 15-20 August. This will be a satellite DXpedition, with
activity on QO-100 and LEO birds. Depending on luggage limitations,
they might also do 70cm EME. QSL via LoTW.
CT - Special callsign CR5VP will be in use on 5-16 August during the
"Volta a Portugal em Bicicleta", Portugal's most prestigious multi-
stage road cycling race. See https://hamaward.cloud/awards for the
certificates; QSL cards will not be issued.
ER - ER35RM is the official special event station celebrating the 35th
anniversary of the Republic of Moldova's independence (27 August
1991). Look for activity on multiple bands and modes between 1 and
31 August. QSL via operator's instructions
F - For the eleventh year in a row, a German team (DF1DJ, DJ5KX, DJ8EI,
DK5OPA, DL1DCT, DL5KA and DL8KR) will be active as TM0BSM from the
lighthouse at Berck-sur-Mer on 13-17 August. QSL via LoTW only.

I - IU3EDK (SSB), IZ3GOM (CW), and IZ3KUZ (SSB) will be active as IR3LH
from Faro Rocchetta (Venezia Lido) during the International Light-
house/Lightship Weekend. QSL via IU3EDK.
J6 - Mike, N4XTT will be active as J68TT from St. Lucia (NA-108) on 15-
21 August. He will be QRV on 40-10 metres (possibly 80m), with
plans to operate from many POTA sites alongside J69Z. QSL via LoTW,
Club Log's OQRS, or direct to N4XTT.
OJ0 - Henri, OH3JR and Anne, OH2YL will be active as OJ0JR and OJ0YL,
respectively, from Market Reef (EU-053) on 15-22 August. They will
operate CW, SSB and FT8 on 80-10 metres. QSL OJ0JR via OH3JR, QSL
OJ0YL via OH2YL; QSOs will be uploaded to LoTW and Club Log, whose
OQRS will open when the operation finishes. Full propagation fore-

UA - Team RI0FA (namely Dmitry RA2FA, Yuri RM0F, and Alexander RW3RN)
will be active from Iturup Island (AS-025) on 12-16 August. They
plan to operate CW, SSB and digital modes with two stations on 40-
12 metres (80m if conditions permit). QSL via RW3RN; QSOs will be
uploaded to LoTW and Club Log. Upon returning to Sakhalin (AS-018),
they plan to operate from several districts under the RDA programme
until 21 August.
V4 - Once again John, W5JON will be active as V47JA from St. Kitts (NA-
104) on 24-31 August. He will operate SSB and FT8 on various bands.

V5 - Members of the RadioActive Group Namibia will be active as V55LH
from the Diaz Point Lighthouse during the International Lighthouse/
Lightship Weekend (15-16 August). They will operate SSB, CW and FT8
on 80-10 metres with two stations. This will be the first operation
ever from this historic lighthouse. QSL via LoTW or via the bureau
to DL3DXX; QSOs will be uploaded to Club Log.
W - Members of the Old Barney Amateur Radio Club will be active as N2OB
from "Old Barney", the Barnegat Lighthouse on Long Beach Island
(NA-111) on 15 August (13-21 UTC). Main activity on 20 meters SSB.

XU - In 15 months, from 13 to 23 November 2027, a team of 20 experienced
operators will be active as XU7X from Koh Rong Island (AS-133),
Cambodia. Plans are for six stations to be active 24/7 on all bands

YB - Celebrating the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia's
proclamation of independence (17 August 1945), HQ station 8A81RI
and 34 special event stations will be active on 10-20 August from
various Indonesian provinces:

CVA DX HF CONTEST ---> The 67th edition of the Concurso Verde e Amarelo
(CVA), sponsored by the Amateur Radio Club of the Brazilian Army's School of
Communications (PT2CVA), will take place on 160, 80, 40, 20, 15, and 10m CW
(15-16 August) and SSB (22-23 August). The contest runs from 18 UTC until 21

ILLW ---> The 29th annual International Lighthouse/Lightship Weekend will
take place from 00.01 UTC on 15 August until 24.00 UTC on 16 August.

ITALY: 40 MHZ ---> Once again Italian radio amateurs have been authorized to
use the 40 MHz band until the end of the year. They are allowed to operate
from 40.660 MHz to 40.700 MHz with a maximum power of 10 watts. The Italian
regulator has given permission until 31 December also for 70.100 MHz, 70.200
MHz, 70.300 MHz, and 1810-1830 KHz.
NAOERO (NAURU) ---> In a unanimous vote, the parliament of Nauru (C2) - the
world's smallest independent republic - passed a constitutional amendment to
drop the colonial-era spelling and restore its indigenous name, the Republic
of Naoero. Foreign governments and international bodies have already been
informed, with the United Nations officially notified on 26 June. Moving
forward, the nation will use the abbreviation Naoero, the country code NRO,
and refer to its citizens as "dei-Naoero" rather than Nauruan.
TURKIYE HF CONTEST ---> The first ever Turkiye HF SSB Contest was held in
2025. This year's event has been expanded to include CW, and will run on 22-
