GW - GB64MOD, a special event station that "celebrates the spirit of the
Mod movement through amateur radio", will be active on 1-31 August,
operated by Curtis MW0USK and Kevin MW9KJC: https://gb64mod.co.uk.
HL - Celebrating the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Korea (15
August 1945), members of the Korean Amateur Radio League's Chungbuk
HQ (6K0MF) will be active as HL81V on 1-31 August.
PY - Team PQ1I (namely PY8WW, PY7RP and PY4AZ) will be active from Ilha
das Garcas (SA-067) on 24-26 July, IOTA Contest included. They will
operate SSB, CW and FT8 with two stations. QSL via Club Log's OQRS
and LoTW.
RI1F - Due to unforeseen circumstances, the RI1FJL DXpedition schedule
[425DXN 1812] schedule has changed. The team is now set to depart
from Murmansk on 7 August, with an expected arrival on Heiss Island
(EU-019), Franz Josef Land, on 15 August. Plans are for six opera-
tors to be QRV on 160-10 metres CW, SSB and FT8 (MSHV) with at
least five high-power stations for 15 days. QSL via Club Log's

TA - Golkem, TA7AZC and Emre, TA7EK will be active as YM7KK/0 from
Giresun Island (AS-154) during the IOTA Contest on 26 July. With no
local power grid, the station will run entirely on battery power
and portable antenna systems.
TK - The TK5SI operation from the Sanguinaires Islands (EU-104) [425DXN
1833] has been postponed to 27-28 July. Toni, F5RAB and Gil, F4FET
will operate FT8 (MSHV), SSB and CW on 20, 17, 15, 10 and 6 metres.
They are not allowed to overnight on the island, so this will be a
daytime (indicatively 07:00-16:30 UTC), battery powered "micro-
expedition". QSL via Club Log's OQRS (preferred) and LoTW, or via
F8GGV.
UA - After a rough sea passage, the Arctic's Legends IOTA DXpedition
team hit the airwaves from Novaya Zemlya (EU-035) as RT25AA on 21
July. In just 21 hours, they logged nearly 5,000 QSOs, split evenly
Between FT8 and CW. QSL via Club Log's OQRS, or via R7AA. Next
stop is Vize Island (AS-055), where they will be QRV as RI0BW.

UK - Darek, SP9DLM and his 13-year-old son Greg, SN9GM will be active as
UK/SP9DLM and UK/SN9GM from Uzbekistan between 27 July and 15

VK9X - The Pacific Islands DXpedition Group (PIDXG) and Youth on the Air
(YOTA) have announced the VK9XY DXpedition to Christmas Island (OC-
002), running from 16 November to 4 December.
Young operators have expanded their roles in recent years - advanc-
ing from remote operations on Rotuma (3D2Y) to on-island team par-
ticipation on Saba (PJ6Y) - and will now take full charge of plan-
ning, leading, and operating the VK9XY DXpedition.
The eight-person on-island crew will consist entirely of operators
under the age of 25. Confirmed team members include N4ML (team
leader), W4IPC, NT1S, LY7J, and 7Q6UJ, with the final roster spots
set to be filled in the coming weeks. Veteran DXpeditioners W0GJ
and W6IZT will provide on-site guidance and mentorship.
The station plan calls for 4 local stations, two remote NexGenRiB2
stations operating over Starlink, and a portable QO-100 satellite
station. Activity will be on 160-6 meters, and will include partic-
ipation in the CQ WW DX CW Contest. QSL via M0OXO's OQRS.

IOTA CONTEST ---> The IOTA Contest will be held on 25-26 July (12:00-12:00

EUROPEAN HF CHAMPIONSHIP --- > The 32nd edition of the European HF Champi-
onship (EUHFC), organized by the Slovenia Contest Club, will take place on 1
August, from 12:00 UTC to 24:00 UTC. Object of the contest is for European
amateurs to contact as many other European amateurs, and compete for the
"European HF Champion" title. Complete information, rules and statistics are

QSL 3Y0K ---> Charles, M0OXO is no longer the QSL manager for 3Y0K (Bouvet
Island 2026). The log has been moved to Club Log, and the OQRS for direct
cards has been enabled. The bureau option will be available sometime next
year.
+ SILENT KEY + Earlier this week, it was reported that world-renowned DXer,
CQ DX Hall of Fame inductee (1987), and former IARU Region 3 Director (1968-
1975) Kiyoshi "Kan" Mizoguchi, JA1BK, passed away on 23 May at the age of
93. A towering figure in the amateur radio community, he was instrumental in
identifying new DXCC entities and leading or joining their inaugural activa-
tions, including the Marquesas, the Austral Islands, the Chesterfield Is-
lands, Ducie Island, and Swains Island. His lasting contributions to DXing
also include establishing and endowing "The DX Log Archive" programme at the
ARRL to preserve historical paper logs from rare and significant DXpedi-
tions.
