3 February 2018 A.R.I. DX Bulletin No 1396 =========================== *** 4 2 5 D X N E W S *** **** DX INFORMATION **** =========================== Edited by I1JQJ & IK1ADH Direttore Responsabile I2VGW >>> 3Y0Z: BOUVET ISLAND <<< After experiencing strong winds and turbulent seas, the 3Y0Z DXpedition arrived at Bouvet on 31 January at around 6 UTC, and dropped anchor off the east side of the island. On 1 February winds were 35-45 knots and the ship was pitching and rolling up to 30 degrees, which made flying and a landing attempt impossible. In the local morning of 2 February the situation had not sufficiently improved, and the forecast does not very promising [1]. Plans are to get everything ashore as quickly as possible when a weather window opens, "with never more people than our infrastructure can support". The "first strike team" will have to select and secure a site, and will include EY8MM, K0IR and Alejo Contreras Steading (Antarctic explorer, guide and mountaineer). [1] http://www.myweather2.com/City-Town/Bou ... sland.aspx 4L - Furkan, TA7AOF and Golkem, TA7AZC will be active as 4L/TA7AOF and 4L/TA7AZC from Batumi, Georgia on 8-12 February. It is available on Google Play - free of charge, no ads. Enjoy! 3Y0Z: BAND PLAN --- > The Band Plan for 3Y0Z is as follows (frequencies might be adjusted depending on conditions or interference): BAND CW SSB RTTY ----------------------------------- 160m 1.826.5 - - 80m 3.523 3.785 3.580 60m 5.400 5.400 - 40m 7.023 7.082 7.045 30m 10.108 - 10.142 20m 14.023 14.185 14.080 17m 18.079 18.130 18.099 15m 21.023 21.285 21.080 12m 24.894 24.955 24.912 10m 28.023 28.485 28.080 6m EME 50.190 - - 2m EME 144.144 - - FT8 will not be a primary mode for 3Y0Z, but it will be used only "when we cannot use the standard, higher rate modes", i.e. "when the band dies, or before it opens". The FT8 transmit frequencies will be 1835, 3570, 5357, 7071, 10133, 14067, 18095, 21067, 24912, 28067 and 50316 kHz. 3Y0Z will transmit low in the passband (200-400 Hz) and LISTEN UP: set your transmit frequency higher in the passband, and be certain your TX and RX frequencies are not locked together. Detailed guidelines for FT8 are available on http://www.bouvetdx.org/band-plan-frequencies/ ("Ten Steps on How to Work 3Y0Z (Bouvet) With FT8"). LOTW & WAZ AWARD--- > Beta testing for bringing CQ Magazine's Worked All Zones (WAZ) award program into ARRL's Logbook of the World (LoTW) system continues to move forward. Some problems in the implementation were discovered by testers and have since been corrected; the documentation has also been improved by feedback from the testers. In parallel, the LoTW server has been executing a background task that creates and populates a WAZ account for each LoTW user. Beta testing will continue until this background task completes. When all WAZ accounts have populated, LoTW-WAZ will be made available to everyone. The goal is for operators to be able to directly submit LoTW confirmations for WAZ credit. Standard LoTW credit fees and separate CQ award fees will apply. [TNX ARRL] Z60A ---> Project Goodwill Kosovo is moving into its second week. In total, hams from 10 countries will participate in the project's current phase. "The 40,000 QSO mark has been passed as the team is concentrating on maximizing its Asia and North America numbers", the team reported on 30 January. "They are well on their way by penetrating those selective openings. Be patient, as their best effort is given at all times in spite of the high noise level. As the locations are fixed, the only improvement opportunity is to see whether low-laid receiving antennas would help with this mission. The second week team will try to accomplish that task as they move toward the upcoming weekend. Many are asking about an immediate LoTW upload during the operation, and these options are being taken under consideration. An LoTW upload and early QSL card may be considered as an additional service, while its modest compensation would be exclusively directed to further support for evolving Amateur Radio in Kosovo". =========================== *** 4 2 5 D X N E W S *** ******* QSL ROUTES ******* =========================== Edited by I1JQJ & IK1ADH Direttore Responsabile I2VGW =================================================================== CALL MANAGER CALL MANAGER CALL MANAGER =================================================================== 3G9A/mm N2OO EM0I UT2IZ OP4U ON7USB 3V8CB LX1NO EP2LMA EA5GL OQ5M ON5ZO 3W3B E21EIC ES5G ES5TV OR7R ON4LG 3Z70M SP9PRR FG4KH F1DUZ OS8A ON8VK 4K9W DL6KVA G3U G3UJE P29VXG JA1XGI 4L2M EA7FTR G5W G3BJ P29XC ZL2XC 4U0WFP S57DX GB1LBC M6ENP P33W UA3DX 4U13FEB 9A2AA GM4Z GM4ZUK P40AA DL4MM 4U1A UA3DX GS2MP N3SL P40LE K2LE 4X2M 4X4DZ GW0A GW4SKA P49MR VE3MR 5P5CW DL5SE H84VC SP7VC PF2018SNK PA0MBD 5T2AI NI5DX HC1MD K8LJG PJ2ND K8ND 5W1SA JA1DXA HF0DKI SP2DKI PJ2T W3HNK 5X2B JA1PBV HG6N HA6KNB PJ4NX M0URX 6M0NR DS4GGM HG7SNOW HA7PL R1943S RZ4AWB 6W1SU M0URX HG7T HA7TM R900BL UF1M 7X5KBS M0SDV HG8DX HA8FT RA75SB R4AS 7X5QB EA7FTR HG8R HA8JV RA75SK R4AS 8P1W KU9C HG8X HA8RC RF1A RQ1AP 8P2K KU9C HH2JR W3HNK RI1ANA RN1ON 8P9CA KB8YRX HL23N HL2UVH RI50ANO RN1ON 9A36W 9A6W II4HRZ IQ4FE SI3A SM3LIV 9H18VLT 9H1SP J52EC IZ3BUR SK2T SK2AT 9H3AF G8MLQ J68HZ K9HZ SN7Q SP7GIQ 9H3YY DL2JRM J88PI GW4DVB SO5Y SP5PPK 9J2BO G3TEV JT5DX JT1CO SP100N SP9MA 9J2MM N4GNR JW4JSA LA4JSA SU0ERA SM5AQD 9N1AA N4GNR KC4AAA K1IED T88PB JA0JHQ A71AM M0OXO KH0R/KH2 JE6DND TI2CF W3HNK AX5MTM W3HNK KL7SB/VP9 NI5DX TI3/N8JAJ K8EF AX5PAS M0OXO LX7I LX2A TM2D F5KHP C5YK ON7YK LY100E LY1RMD TM39PVJ F8GGZ C6AGU HA7RY LY100F LY1RMD TM4K F4EGZ C81G PG5M LY100H LY1RMD TM55M F4ESV C8X PA5X LY100I LY1RMD TM5G F8TRL CE2AWW N7RO LY100J LY1RMD TM7A F5IYJ CN8PG EA7FTR LY100M LY1RMD TO7D F6ITD CO2JD AD4Z LY100O LY1RMD TR8CA F6CBC CP5HK EC5AC LY100Q LY1RMD UK8FF W3HNK CR140AA CU3AA LY100QT LY2QT V31MA M0OXO CR2W HB9CRV LY100R LY1RMD V47UR NR6M CR3DX OM2VL LY100S LY1RMD VI70HI M0OXO CR6K CT1ILT LY100U LY1RMD XV9WJR WA7WJR CU8FN HB9CRV LY100V LY1RMD YE1K EA5GL CX2DK EA5GL LZ11C LZ2DB YP0C YO3CZW D68I IK5CRH LZ250MT LZ1KCP YP100ARR YO9RIJ DP0GVN DL5EBE LZ5R LZ1YQ YR100R YO3KAA DR18WRD M0SDV MD2C MD0CCE YR2V YO2LC E2X E20GMY MW5R MW0EDX YR8D YO8KRR E51IAN M0INB MX0SNB G3SVK YR8E YO8RNI E7DX E77E OC4MS OA4O YV1KK OH0XX EA9LZ EA5KB OD5ZZ NI5DX Z60A OH2BH EF6T EA3AIR OG7A OH6MW ZC4A M0URX EF8R EB7DX OH0R OH2PM ZF2BJ K0BJ EH3DK EA3ZK OH0Z W0MM ZF2PD N2LM EI0R EI6FR OK5Z OK2ZI ZF9CW K5GO EI100MCV EI6AL OK7K OK1BN ZM4T ZL3IO EI50AOM EI2KA OL3Z OK1HMP ZS6CCY K3IRV 5H0JK Janusz Babol Vel Sobczyk, 8433 Southside Blvd Apt #2711, Jacksonville FL 32256, USA 5V1JE John Everman, Unit 2300 Box 840, DPO AE 09817, USA 5V7SM C.A.R Marc, BP 1013, 87050 Limoges Cedex 2, France FY5KE Jacques Mazzoni, 678 route de l'Egalite, 74290 Talloires Montmin, France IK5CRH Giovanni Alessi, Via Don Pio Vannucchi 81, 59100 Prato PO, Italy JA1XGI Haru Uchida, 2-30-11 Shintomi, Kawagoe-shi, Saitama-ken, 350-0043, Japan KH7XS Big Island Contest Club, P.O.
