3D2Z: TEAM MEMBER CHANGE ---> "Due to unexpected circumstances, Mike, W0VTT
has had to drop off of the 3D2Z on-island team. In our continued efforts to
bring more 'Next Generation' amateur radio operators into DXpeditioning, the
3D2Z team is pleased to announce that our new 6th member replacing Mike is
Lukas Bartkus, LY7J, a 22-year young ham from Lithuania. He joins Connor,
KD9LSV and Jamie, M0SDV as our 3rd young ham making this a multi-national
'Next Generation' DXpedition. Meanwhile, Mike will remain a valued member of
our off-island DXpedition team serving as one of the remote operators of the
two NexGenRiBs which will be accompanying the DXpedition. Funding efforts
continue for the November DXpedition: https://rotuma2024.com".

CY9C: ST PAUL ISLAND ---> The CY9C team has announced the VHF/UHF/EME/SAT
plans for the upcoming DXpedition to St Paul Island (26 August-5 September):
https://t-rexsoftware.com/cy9c/news.htm.

FT8: SUPERFOX & SUPERHOUNDS ---> N5J (Jarvis Island) and CY9C (St Paul Is-
land) will be the first two major DXpeditions to use WSJT-X's new SuperFox
sub-mode. In a nutshell:
* Using a 1512 Hz bandwidth, a SuperFox station starts at 750 Hz and go up
to 2262 Hz; it can transmit up to 9 messages simultaneously without reduc-
ing the dB values received by the SuperHounds.
* The SuperHound stations transmit normal FT8 signals anywhere from 200 Hz
and up; their frequencies are not shifted down after being called.
* A SuperFox station can send text messages of up to 26 characters in
length, for example to announce QSY.
* A digital signature embedded in the SuperFox message will enable the re-
ceiving software to confirm that the signal originates from the genuine
  DXpedition.
* There will be no backwards compatibility, and the use the latest release
of WSJT-X will be mandatory (candidate release WSJT-X 2.7.0-rc5 is
  upcoming, bookmark https://wsjt.sourceforge.io./wsjtx.html).
Familiarise yourself with this new, cutting-edge technology by reading the
FAQ: https://jarvisisland2024.com/operating/super-fox-mode.

WINQSL ---> First released in 1995, the software originated from a QSL
Manager listing on paper from 1982. The latest version, accompanied by the
most recent dbase update (16 June 2024), can be downloaded for free at
