                          Edited by I1JQJ & IK1ADH
                        Direttore Responsabile I2VGW

4X - Team 4X2DS will be active from the shores of the Dead Sea, the
lowest land-based elevation on Earth (440 metres below sea level),
from 30 May to 3 June. QSL via LoTW, eQSL, or via 4Z5TT. A certifi-
cate will be available, see https://www.qrz.com/db/4X2DS for more
         information.
9M2 - Members of the Kuala Lumpur DX Team will be active as 9M4IOTA from
Kapas Island (AS-073), West Malaysia from 31 May to 2 June. They
will operate SSB, CW and digital modes on 80-10 metres. Updates
         will be posted to https://www.facebook.com/kldxteam/.
DL - The Berlin Airlift was an operation that carried supplies by plane
to the Allied sectors of West Berlin over a Russian blockade. For
more than a year, hundreds of American, British and French cargo
planes ferried provisions to West Berlin's Tempelhof, Gatow and
Tegel airfields. Commemorating the 75th anniversary of the end of
the Berlin Airlift, three special event stations will be active
between 12 May and 24 June: DL0GWW for Gatow, DL0TXL for Tegel, and
DL0THF for Tempelhof. QSL via LoTW, QRZ Logbook, and the DARC
Community Logbook; paper cards will not be provided, but an award
         will be available: https://ham-awards.de/index.php/75luft/.
EA - Depending on weather and seas conditions, a three-man team (Henry
EA5EOR, Ilde EA5HEU, and Christian EA3NT) will be active as EG5MI
from Penyeta del Moro (EU-151) on 25 May. They will place a wooden
platform on the rocks on 24 May at about 16 UTC, and return on 25
May at about 4 UTC, hoping to be QRV as soon as possible. "We don't
discard to start same Friday 24th evening with a very lightweight
setup (one car battery)", Christian says, "and run for a couple of
hours to try to get advantage of the greyline and give a chance to
the West Coast". Most likely they will be QRV on 20, 17, 40 and 6m
CW, SSB and FT8. If he gets enough subscribers to his YouTube chan-
nel (http://www.youtube.com/@EA3NT), Christian will try and broad-
cast live the landing attempt. Penyeta del Moro is a rocky islet of
almost 2 metres in width and 6 metres in length; an iron lighthouse
of about 5m in height was placed there in 1861. QSL via EA5GL.
F - Members of the Association des radioamateurs de l'Indre will be
active as TM36JO on 27 May, as the Paris 2024 Olympic Torch Relay
passes through their Department, and again from 29 July to 11 Au-
gust during the Olympic Games. QSL via the bureau, or direct to
         F5OHM.
GI - Commemorating the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings (6 June
1944), the Rushyhill Radio Society (MN0UGP) will be active as
GB8DDY between 1 and 28 June. A certificate will be available, but
QSL cards will not be provided - see https://www.qrz.com/db/GB8DDY
         for information.
I - Members of ARI Trapani (IQ9TP) will be active as II9IKF on 20-26
May for the 16th edition of the International Kite Festival at San
Vito Lo Capo. QSL via the bureau, LoTW and eQSL.
LA - Michael, DF8AN will be active from Hinnoya Island (EU-033) on 16-17
May and again on 25-26 May, and from Vestvagoy Island (EU-076) on
17-25 May. He operates CW and digital modes on the HF bands, and
hopefully on 6 and 2 metres. QSL via home call, direct or bureau.
         [TNX The Daily DX]
SP - Celebrating the 65th anniversary of the SP DX Club, special
         callsigns SP65S, SO65P, SN65D, HF65X and 3Z65C will be active on
1-16 June. A certificate will be available, complete information
         can be found on https://logsp.pzk.org.pl/a/spdxc/index.php.
SV - Giovanni, IZ2DPX has been active as SV8/IZ2DPX from Serifos Island
(EU-067) since 13 May, and will remain there until 23 May. He
operates SSB and FT8 on 40-6 metres. QSL via LoTW.
UA - Commemorating the 119th anniversary since the birth of Mikhail A.
Sholokhov (the 1965 Nobel Prize in Literature), special callsigns
R119MS and UE39MS will be active on 20-24 May during the 39th edi-
tion of the Sholokhov Spring Festival. A certificate will be avail-
able on https://hamlog.online/club/mdxc. QSLs via RQ7L.

ARRL SYSTEMS SERVICE DISRUPTION ---> "We are in the process of responding to
a serious incident involving access to our network and headquarters-based
systems", the ARRL notified on 16 May. "Several services, such as Logbook of
The World (LoTW) and the ARRL Learning Center, are affected. Please know
that restoring access is our highest priority, and we are expeditiously
working with outside industry experts to address the issue. We appreciate
your patience. This story will be updated with new developments" (see
https://www.arrl.org/).

CY9C: ST PAUL ISLAND ---> The Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans
has issued the written permit for the CY9C DXpedition to St Paul Island (26
August-5 September), and the ARRL has pre-approved the DXpedition for DXCC
credit. The permit is for the small Northeast Island, as the main island is
now under the jurisdiction of the Canadian Wildlife Service.
A 24-foot vehicle has been rented and reserved for early August to transport
a lot of the gear to Dingwall (Nova Scotia), which will be the base for all
pre-DXpedition activities. The team will use two helicopters and a boat to
transport the operators and the equipment to the island.
Beginning on 26 May, a week long work session for CY9C will take place in
North Carolina. Team members W0GJ, W0PR and WA4DAN will meet up and go
through and inventory all of the DXpedition gear. The plan is to erect the
new operating tents, test and run the seven new generators, assemble and
test antennas and inventory all of the coaxial cables.
"The team is very grateful to all the clubs and individuals who have joined
our efforts. Additional support is encouraged and can be made through
https://t-rexsoftware.com/cy9c".
