[TNX The Daily DX] ZK3 - ZK3X is the callsign for the DXpedition to Tokelau [425DXN #1441] that will take place for ten days between between 1 and 15 October. Current team members include YT1AD (Team Leader), UT5UY (Co- Leader), UR0MC (Co-Leader), KO8SCA, R7KW, RW7K, SV2BFN, US0KW, UT7QF, UT8IO, UX0LL, VK3FN, VK3FY, WD5COV and ZL3WW. Up to six stations will operate CW, SSB, RTTY and FT8 on 160-6 metres, with a focus on the low bands and 6m EME. More information will be available in February, after YT1AD visits Fiji and Samoa. She is currently "being refurbished from her very bottom to her top", the team reported on 2 January, and added that "getting the ship ready is a time and money consuming process that requires a lot of patience and flexibility from us". While there still are "some technical obstacles keeping the 'Atlantic Tuna' in the shipyard", the team members "are aware we start to face a situation [where] the most suitable and safe weather permitting season to reach Bouvet Island is about to slip away". IOTA DXPEDITIONER OF THE YEAR AWARD ---> The first year of the Island Radio Expedition Foundation's (IREF) "IOTA DXPeditioner of the Year" award [425DXN 1392] has come to a close and the calculations are being made to determine the winners. "While IREF has been monitoring activations all year long, we want to be certain that all expeditioners who activated new, rare or multiple IOTA islands during the year to make sure that IREF has your expedition results. MOST WANTED LIST ---> The "Most Wanted 100 Countries Archive" maintained by Tom, K8CX (http://hamgallery.com/countries/) covers the years 1993-2018 and counting. The charts show the Top 100 DXCC Entities moving up and down the list from year to year; data come from The DX Magazine (2014 and before) and Club Log (since 2015). The information is derived from QSOs uploaded to Club Log (currently 542.3 million log entries available for analysis) and, to improve quality, only QSOs that have QSLs confirmed are considered to be worked.
